Open Question: How do I make this girl pay for these damages?
Last Monday (January 16th) I was over my friends house, his girlfriend (who doesn’t like me) shows up, gets mad, and used her shoe to smash two dents in the hood of my car. I was going to go to the police, but she ended up saying that she would pay me for the damages. She didn’t, so now I want to go to the police. Is it too late? Then, yesterday, she took my cell phone ($650 it’s worth) and smashed in on the ground. I was not there when this happened, because my friend had the phone. I have a family plan and I added him on to it, and let him use one of my old phones. She did say to me on the phone “Say goodbye to your phone” and in another conversation, “I just broke your phone,” so I do know that it was her. So, if I go to file a police report, are they gonna do anything?

Open Question: Wireless adaptor for desktop with broadband card?
I want to install some type of wireless adaptor on my desktop. I want to ultimately create a wifi network using my desktop computer, a wireless adaptor possibly a broadband card, or my cell phones 3G, i also have a router and a lexmark wireless printer. Can i purchase a broadband card and install it on my router or printer to create a signal and pick it up on my desktop if i get a wireless a adaptor? What about using the cell phone? I did research alot of this but it is a lil confusing to get direct info on what is possible. Also what are some of the costs associated with some of these items. Any vaid info on any of this would be appreciated.

I said Hi and waved at him. when I was in the library I speed walk by one room I saw him with his friends. I smiled at him. He smiled back.If I comment on his wall he does not comment back or delete those comments but leaves it? I just send him a message on FB to ask him what time should I call him tmr. He said he only messages girls and not talk with them on phone. I said to him don’t be shy from me. I said I used to be shy from you lol. I feel like you don’t like me and don’t want to be my friend. Then he said no it’s not and I am not shy

2 weeks ago I was driving on the highway to go college I think he saw me driving. he was driving fast.Then I send him message on FB. lolll I saw you today…you were driving fast. Were u getting late for ur class. After that I txted him on his cell and asked him did you get my message on FB. he said yea and he replied to the message. That’s just how I drive. After 1 hr he texted me on my cell wat car was I driving? I told him toyota camry. I said don’t you drive one too. He said yea and that was you? Just be careful cause there was a cop. Open Question: Do you MISS life life before internet and cell phones?
Do you miss life life before internet and cell phones?

I dunno about you, but I liked riding my bike over to my friends house and banging on their window to see if they were home.

I liked going to music stores and browsing through casettes and VHS tapes, they’re pretty much all out of business in my city

I liked going to the video store and browsing

I remember when you’d stay out to late with a friend or friends and your parents would be worried.

I actually recently watched a VHS recently and got really nostalgiac, all the previews before the movie starts, the fuzzy quality, and seeing all the previews saying “coming soon to own on video”

I remember walking up and knocking on the door
Now everyone just texts

I’ve tried giving up my cell phone and internet
But sadly, just about everyone all my friends and family use them so it’s really hard to not use them when everyone around you does
And I need internet for my job and my college, I have to turn assignments in online, check my work and school email, etc.

Theres really no excitement anymore, wanna listen to music? just download it. I remember back in the late 80s/ early 90s at a music store where they had a listening station with big headphones and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I hate having all of it really convenient, back then you had the radio or you went to the store and bought a cd, and if you wanted to sample a song, you did so at the listening station in the store.
Why go to the video store when you can either netflix it or download/torrent it?
Why get out of your car and knock on the door when you can just text?

I remember just sitting aorund talking to friends, sometimes really weird stuff, but it was enjoyable. Now everyone has pathetic text conversations

You:Nm, u?
Me: bored
You:same
me:ughh
you:ugh i hate school
me:I hate work
you:im tired

Really? It’s so pathetic. When my family and friends texts me like that, I flat out tell them if you have something to tell me, just tell me, Im not going to have a conversation about nothing with you for an hour. It’s annoying and stupid.

I miss life before internet and cells, you can go ahead and call me crazy if you’d like.

Resolved Question: Why are people so quick to diagnose you these days and say you have a chemical imbalance?
I’ll admit I’ve been depressed for some time now and on occasion it has been severe but whatever happened to “well that’s life, you have to get used to it!” I’m not a teenager at 28 and would have to say my awareness of depression probably started when I was about to turn 19. Oddly enough I was studying Psychology at the time and to me it seems like the more introspective I became the worse my depression got…started feeling like I had been depressed my entire life and blah blah blah.

But what got me back on track was realizing that yeah, I had depressing times but who doesn’t? Life is messy, it’s not all peaches and cream and Ozzy and Harriet…death is horrific and more frightening than anything Stephen King can conjure up.

The weird thing about it..I noticed around that time 2002-2003 is when all this technology was spiraling out of control…I was contented in my high school years without a cell phone but then when on college campus you couldn’t even meet anyone in the courtyards because they were all looking down into their cellphones, I didn’t even have one or a laptop.

People who look at me like a weirdo for not having them and being super perficent with all things technological…maybe I’m getting off on a tangent.

The whole idea of having anxiety, and this kid is bi-polar, we have children’s prozac, he has a “chemical imbalance” whatever happened to kids will be kids, now there are like entrance exams for pre-schools, it’s ridiculous.

I think it’s just a major scam by the drug manufacturers to make more money…it’s reported that 2 out of 3 people who take anti-depressants are still severely depressed, and side effects of those drugs usually include thoughts of suicide and actual suicide…like WOW, you really think it’s a good idea?

Can’t we just agree that life can be sad and you have to take the good with the bad instead of trying to pinpoint every thought and anxious feeling and overly medicate and wrongly diagnose..it’s outrageous, I worked in a pharmacy and there were all these clinical test and documents that would be contradicted by clinical tests and documents 2 months later!!!!! It’s bs.

The tangent I was going on earlier was that I feel our culture is just becoming increasingly more bankrupt leading to more depression and anxiety..it has nothing to do with chemical imbalance of the brain and everything to do with this celebrity obsessed, instant fame, twittering and facebooking your way into fame superficial culture.

How can you not feel like a sucker working hard when some dimwit yo can barely pee straight can become a millionaire overnight by constantly having his nose stuck in a electronic device, who are you not to tell your kids then can get plastic surgery and make viral videos and become america’s next top model or idol when there are instant success stories of people who did just that and really didn’t have to work that hard to get to where they are, all day everyday they see it on the computers, iPhone, whatever…

it has really lowered the quality of life…instead of taking the good with the bad and trying to feel good sometimes we obsess about trying to feel good every single second of every single day which in my opinion leads to people never truly being happy ever…

It has become my haters are my motivators, people enjoy being hated and see it as a level of success and respect, like they are being envied…that’s just poor morals.

Am I wrong or should I take some medication and join the zombie ranks?

Open Question: How to use internet through wifi on a cell phone?
I have an AT&T Samsung Flight phone. My plan only allows calls– no texting or anything else.
Is there a way for me to connect to the internet using wifi?

When I try is says it “failed to connect” …. Do I have to set it up or will it just not work becuase I’m not paying for the internet through at&t?

Okay, so I want to switch to T-Mobile’s monthly plan for 30 for unlimited text, data, and 100 minutes. Where can I buy a phone without having to checkout using a “contract extension.” I want to be able to buy a HTC Amaze or Samsung Galaxy S II, but on Amazon, Best Buy, and Wirefly, when you checkout, you have to enter your contract options and they don’t allow for monthly contracts. If I can get the phone, I can just plop in the new Prepaid SIM, the hard part is getting the actual phone. I would love any help.

Open Question: When money is an issue between partners in a relationship is that a problem?
My girlfriend works two jobs. Her primary job is working as a trainer at a bank that she has done since she graduated from college. Her second job is selling concessions at a sports park that is a seasonal job she has done since high school. Since divorcing her ex husband she has moved back with her family. She helps her family out with expenses but most of her money she spends throughout the year on traveling and dining out with her friends.
I am divorced. I left my full time job about four years ago to pursue an opportunity with a small business that went out of business. I tried to return to my previous employer but it was a union job and they had a hiring freeze at the time so I could not go back. I was living with my parents until last year when we sold the family home and my parents went into a retirement community.
I work several part time jobs to support myself and I got some money from the sale of the house as well as a severance from my former employer. I have started my own business but in this economy my level of clients and productivity has made it pretty much an extra income thing rather than the latest Fortune 500 concern that I could devote to full time and retire off of. Since my family sold the house, I have been looking for full time work and haven’t had much luck. I am living in a one bedroom appartment that costs me about $1,000 a month rent. My heat is electric and that’s running about $30 a month. My cable bill with TV and internet is $160. My landline and cell phone are $30 and $70. My landlord has WiFi in the apartment building so one idea is that I can buy my own modem and get a wireless router and take the Internet service off of my cable bill.
Anyway, my girlfriend’s lifestyle is very costly to maintain. She doesn’t like to eat at fast food restaurants because she likes wine with her dinner. She likes to go out with her friends to places where you have to dress up to go there and the waiter will come around throughout the meal pouring the wine like it’s water, constantly filling up everyone’s glass.
We will often go out with a dozen of her friends. We have set up a debit card that we both put in a certain amount each week. However, when I go out with her friends the last time it cost me $350 so I had to put in extra money so that there would be sufficient funds in the account so that the debit would not bounce.
Her friends invite us to go on escape weekend trips on the weekends. We get free accommodations but then we are doing other stuff that winds up costing me a small fortune. Breakfast, lunch and dinner dining out. Night clubs. Seeing a comedy show and drinks. The casinos. She loves to go to places where people drink and she drinks like a fish.
Bills of $200, $300, and $400 for a tab are not uncommon. I use our debit card and pour my own money into the account to make up the difference.
I have four credit cards and my total credit card debt is about $20,000. With my limited income I am just able to pay the minimum payments.
She went off this weekend with one of her girlfriends who has a time share in Orlando. She had to pay for the airfare and will share costs for food and entertainment.
When she left she said to me “at least with my girlfriend I don’t have to deal with someone who is always nickle and diming every time we want to go out or do something.” She calls me cheap and laughs when I look at the bill instead of just letting the waiter swipe the card like it’s nothing.
She told me that her helping me out with our debit card is “something I do because I feel sorry for you.” She believes that a man should be able to afford to take a woman out for dinner and drinks and should pay for everything.
One time one of her friends husbands decided to treat the entire group to dinner. She turned to me and said “that’s something that you would never do” and laughed at me.

I purchased an HTC Evo (NOT 3d) in the US back in May. I moved to Australia the following August. Haven’t been using the Evo since then because the network isn’t available here. However, yesterday I noticed a cell phone store advertising the new HTC Evo 3D. I asked the sales clerk about using my Evo in Australia (since I still have it and the plan is still in effect), and he said that I could if I “unlocked” it. Is this so? What does unlocking even mean? And how would I be able to do that?
ETA: I’m using Sprint if that makes a difference.

Open Question: she bought me these item now she took them away.?
let me say first my mom never hits me i want to be clear on that.look me and my bother got into a fight at mcdonalds we threw ketchup on each other.im older im 15 he is 13. i got some ketchup on some woman clothes and my mom had to reinburst her for the damage. my mom freak out on me told me i was a immature baby and my brother to in front of people in mcdonlads. Leaving mcdonalds she told us that she should get us some pacifers and some pampers and a playpen. people were looking at me. like she was right. she took away my x box my i pod and cell i cant go out on weekends now. on the car ride home she is yelling at us telling us when she goes to wallmart she should buy us a crib and stuff.telling me we made her look like a bad mother shes being a total bitch to me.

Can i turn her into CPS for abuse saying those things to me? isnt it slander or something saying lies about someone. saying i need pampers and making me look bad in public.For the record he started it my brother not me. its not fair shes doing this. she took away my games i pod my cell phone and i cant go out now cause of that bitch. now she wont let me take drivers ed. she say im to immature to drive. cant cps make her a better mom or just tell her to chill out.. sincerely matt

Open Question: Parents are more involved in their cell phones than their children. is this normal ??!! lmao?
ok so my parents are in their 50s and they finally got up to date phones. my mom has a smart phone and my dad has one with a keypad. they also got texting a few months ago. anyway my mom will call and text me from the other room ! and it’s really annoying. also no matter what family event we are having she is busy on her phone updating her facebook. they have 5 kids (myself included) and we don’t even use our phones half as much as them. we all have smartphones and facebooks but I go a week without even looking at my Facebook, my older sister doesn’t even charge her phone she will leave it dead for a few days, and then here’s my parents constantly pounding away on their phones. it bothers me cuz they raised us not to care about electronics over real life yet now they are acting like teenagers. WHY??!

Open Question: What devices can I use to talk to my friend in the same house?
Me and my friend are working on a live internet show. I will need to talk to my friend through a headset from behind the camera so he can hear me but not the audience. (for example I would say something like “talk louder”). Anyways neither of us have a cell phone plan nor can afford one and do not want to tie up a land line. Any suggestions on what devices we can use? Got a budget of about $100-$150 and I dont want my solution to involve anything that involves getting a cell phone plan.

Resolved Question: Which is a better buy Sony Nex 5N vs Nikon D3100 for a P&S upgrader ?
I have always used a P&S camera from fujifilm, kodak etc , and Cell phones lyk n86 or iphone!
Doing editing works in PS and Lightroom is kinda my hobby! So i was planning to take a Very good camera for myself!
I have been a fan of DSLR cameras and recently used a friends D90 and loved the quality of pics. That kinda gave me a budge for buying a D3100 as far as my budget allows.

I also have played around with Sony Nex cams…loved its quality too, but had backed out coz they were not exactly DSLR stuff! But recently hav researched about this new NEX 5N & read that it has amazing pic quality and is constantly being compared to the D7000 !

So, if you guys can advice me regarding which choice to make? I really do want superb picture quality so i can edit them very well and rather not regret later

we usual go places every now and then , but he doesnt have a car and he’s turning 18 tmrw , and i have a car , but i hae to bring my grades up , so my car and cell phone has gotton tooken away from me , and for the past few months , ill drive over there evey now and then , but now my priveleges of driving has been tooking away , and we’re both busy with our lives , but we see each other everyday at school , and still talk on the phone , so it’s not that bad . i just wish my and him could do something for his birthday , but at the same time , he doesnt really care about his birthday . lol . but he use to always come over here , by riding the bus back home with me then walk back to the school hours later , and try to get a ride home , but i have a car now , and im not allowed to drive anywhere except school , when i do tutoring , school activities , or picking up my sister . but now he tries to hang out with me , but he doesnt have a ride , and for some reason i feel bad that we cant do anything right now , because my mom use to take us places , but she’s been busy , and ill drive over ther , but i dont have a car .
i’ll come to school sad , and he’ll always cuddle and kiss me and tell me to cheer up , but i just feel bad that we havent really hung out like that since before christmas break , and he does too , but we still see each other at school * shrugs * so , maybe things will get better when i get my priveledges back .

i know things will get back to normal sooner or later , because i feel that maybe it’s a phase , but i love him too much , and he isnt upset about it , and i guess it’s because he sees me at school almost everyday . but i want to spend quality time with him like i use to , and this weekend im going to be busy with my friend at a theater camp all friday after school and the whoole saturday , and he’s going to work on his videos that he films for his show . but i know things will get back to normal .
im just getting kind of emotional about it ( not crying , but just sad ) , and i miss being with him outside of school .
i wish i had my car “/ , and i need it , but i have to bring my chemistry grade up .
how dod you guys feel about the situation .

Open Question: Help finding orange PUK code?
When I type this question into google, the orange website say I have to register an account, and since the only way to do this is by using either orange broadband (which i dont have) or a mobile phone (which is currently sim locked and therefore cannot recieve the ‘confirmation text’, hence my search for a puk code) I don’t know what to do? any suggestions? This is a new Iphone which I’ve had for about 2 weeks, and I didnt even mean to lock the sim, I was trying to work out why I couldn’t get any signal anywhere I went.

Reacently ive noticed my iphone 4 home button has started to stick write at the top of the button.the button works perfactly and it doesent stick at all when you use it normally but when i press the very top with your nail it gets stuck. Open Question: Samsung galaxy indulge. I want to download photos from my cell phone to my?
computer and store them on the computer and get them off of the phone. The users manual gives instructions for “transferring files to a memory card” using the USB cable but that seems to be describing how to move files from the computer to the phone. The manual also explains how to share via Email, MySpace etc. But isn’t there a way to use the USB cable to transfer pictures in bulk to the Computer?

Open Question: Numerical format on my cell phone randomly disappeared yesterday when I’m on the Internet only help?
I am through Walmart’s prepaid cell service Straight Talk, and I have the Samsung LG340g, Whenever I press and hold the # key to use numerical format on my internet, it no longer works. It has worked ever since I got this phone just fine for the past few months, now the numerical format disappeared when I’m on the internet. It goes from abc, to Abc, to ABC, but skips 123. The numerical format disappeared sometime yesterday. You can’t just use the number pad when you are on the internet on this phone, you have to toggle between formats. It seems like 123 format is disabled completely, and I have talked with support over the phone, no one can’t figure it out. I was transfered around between 3 different customer service representatives. And, I’ve even tired email support on my computer, but issue still has not resolved. I can hit the star key (*) and pull up symbols to key in commas, parenthesis, etc, but 123 format or numerical format skips, like there is some kind of glitch that just happened yesterday. What do I do if no one can’t figure this out because I can’t check facebook, email, or sign onto yahoo answers because my passwords all require numbers in it, and I can NOT type dang numbers anymore. Only happening on my cell phone’s internet browser, I can text and call people just fine.

i really wanna get a cellphone, so ive been looking at different types. i dont want anything fancy, like an iphone or blackberry. so while i was looking around on the internet i found this, and i watched a couple video reviews on them and they seem pretty good:) here are some questions i have:
is it good for texting?
can you access the internet, to use facebook for example?
how much does it cost?
approximately how much do u have to pay a month? or do u buy minutes?
if you have this phone, pros and cons?
any information you have will be appreciated:) by the way, ive never had a cell phone before so i dont know very much about this stuff:P
also, if there is any phones similar, or you think are good, mention them and ill look into them:)
