Resolved Question: Can I share 2 cell phones on the same number and calling card with the prepaid straight talk cell service?
I already have a main cell phone that I use, which I love, but a friend of mine has a Straight Talk phone that she never used and is giving me hers. It is a cheap touch screen smartphone, which I’ve always wanted a smartphone. I’ve used this Samsung T528 g phone before and had to return it to walmart because the touch screen sucked, but since my friend is giving me hers for free, I still want to be able to use some of the other features on the phone at the same time as I’m using my main cell phone. The free smartphone I’ll be getting has wifi capabilities to watch you tube and stuff, so I’ll use her phone for that, and my main phone for calling and texting. This is so I can have the option if the smartphone gets on my nerves, I can easily just use my normal cell phone. So, will this work? I want to be able to use it on the same calling card, or if I can use one calling card one month on the smartphone I’m getting, and than the next month use that calling card on my usual cell phone? Any info will help, thanks.

Resolved Question: What kind of job best suites my disability?
Hello everyone, I seem to be at a major crossroad in my life. I am a 23 year old recent college grad with a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from a top 30 university. However, as college progressed my hearing slowly started to deteriorate. While I am no where near “deaf,” I am considered hard of hearing. Face to face, I usually have relatively no problem speaking with colleagues as long as the background noise isn’t too bad (although at times I must ask them to repeat themselves). However, speaking on the phone is a DAUNTING task.

My problems lie here:
1) Most jobs require employees to frequently speak on the phone. All of my previous work experience was in sales for high-end technology companies. My plan was to go into the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sales/management field given my expertise and experience. However, my options in this field now seem limited.

2) Most jobs require a preliminary phone call interview. In person, I can usually blow any interviewer away (my sales experience is actually quite extensive). However, not sounding like an idiot on the phone due to not being able to understand what is being said makes getting an in-person interview problematic.

3) There’s a recession at the moment. If the economy were better I’m sure more employers would be willing to take a chance on me with my disability. However, with tons of non-handicapped people out of work, my chances seem to be cut down even further.

I am fantastic when it comes to speaking to people and building relationships, which is what made me such a good salesman in the first place. Is there any kind of B2B job category in my industry for a young and capable man such as myself that would not require me to be on the phone often? I’m hoping my disability doesn’t limit my future potential for advancement in any field I go into.

I hate the feeling that I worked my tail off for years, graduated with honors, got a large amount of work experience and have a fully capable good head on my shoulders but I’m being limited by this new disability.

Note:
1) Hearing Aids do not work for me. My doctor says it is because the hearing aids cannot pick up the lower frequencies that are most affected for me. (Trust me, I bought extremely expensive hearing aids just to try and they only seem to make things worse.)

2) The doctors believe I am suffering from nerve damage

3) The fields I worked in sales for were not science related but were a great opportunity to learn B2B sales (technology based though)

4) For the love of God, please don’t say anything like “there are plenty of handicapped people that have become very successful.” I understand that, but for right now I need a job within my field that I can use as a stepping stone to prove that I can still do great things even with my disability.

5) While I know that employers are not legally allowed to discriminate against me for my disability, I hope everyone is wise enough to understand that most subconsciously will. I’m hard of hearing, not stupid.

What kind of job titles within the science field should I be looking into that can be adapted around my disability?

Please be kind. I’m having a hard enough time dealing with this as it is. I welcome all opinions and answers.

Resolved Question: Unlock HTC Evo for use in Australia?
I purchased an HTC Evo (NOT 3d) in the US back in May. I moved to Australia the following August. Haven’t been using the Evo since then because the network isn’t available here. However, yesterday I noticed a cell phone store advertising the new HTC Evo 3D. I asked the sales clerk about using my Evo in Australia (since I still have it and the plan is still in effect), and he said that I could if I “unlocked” it. Is this so? What does unlocking even mean? And how would I be able to do that?

Resolved Question: Anyone have this problem charging there cell phone?
I have a 3 g android prepaid through cin bell its a huawei and I’ve had it for almost a year and whenever I charge it lately it automatically says it’s 90% charged as soon as I plug it in than I unplug it and it completely turns off I can charge it for an hour and as soon as I unplug it it dies. And its not the charger cause my bf uses the same charger and it works fine.

Anyone else have this problem what could it be? The con bell store by me wont even look at it they just say all sales final go through manufacturer I want it fixed soon not in three months lol.

Open Question: so i asked this girl out she said she had other plans and now she’s avoiding me.?
so theres thi girl i like we’ve known each other for like two months. she plays xbox and so do I. we talk on there and in 5th period i allways walk into her class and talk to people and her. there was this game she wanted but she couldn’t find it so i told her i had it and gave it to her. i gave it to her and she was very happy. so the next 3days i bought her and a friend cookies from our school and gave them to her.so theres this movie titanic 3d and i thought about inviting her so me and my friend come up with this masterplan. so when my friends near her in class i go ”kyle titanic this weekend” she says” oh, i’m going to see titanic this weekend! so kyle says who are you going with she says two other girls so my friend says can parker go with you and then she says well you to should go with each other. then she brings up this whole conversationon how the only guys that will be in the theather will be the guys will there girlfriends who dragged them there. so kyle goes parker should go with you guys, and she says you two should go with each other.

so i know that now digital products have been very popular like ebooks and stuff, something i know about ebooks are that they use a software that download the ebook and you must use that software in order to view the ebook.

Open Question: My mother distributes money between me and my brothers sporadically, $10,000.00 to $20,000. 00?

Open Question: Need help with my wife and our long distance relationship?
My wife and I have been married for 4 years we have a 2 year old son and we are both in the military. She recently left to do a year long tour in Korea. Ever since she has left we have been arguing over little things. I always ask questions like who she is with and what they did and who is hitting in you and stuff like that and we have been falling apart. I also hacked her Facebook and email account because I was very uncomfortable with the amount of male friends she has and wanted to make sure nothing was going on. I have not found anything thank god and that puts y mi d at ease but when she found out about it she got mad and wanted to split up because she says I can’t trust her. We made up and got back together after that but soon after she gave me her new fb password and said I could look anytime I want because she has nothing to hide so I would look every now and then just to see what she is up too. Then one day after logging into her Facebook the night before On my cell phone I opened my voxer on my phone an logged in using Facebook. When it loaded the messages it was her voxer account I’m assuming it opened hers because I was logged into her fb on my phone. Well I heard some guy asking her I come hang out when it’s 9 at night over there. She said no and she told him she was going I bed so I didn’t think anything of it. But when she found out that I knew he asked and i heard what he said she blew up on me and said its over and she doesn’t want to be with me anymore. It’s been a week an she says she is not changing her mind and I told her it was an accident and I wasn’t hacking her stuff but she refuses to believe me. I have been trying to keep our family together and change but she says I say I’ll stop but I keep doing it anyway. But this time is different I’m actually going to consoling and talking to a Chaplin but she acts like she doesn’t care and she says she hates me because I broke her heart and don’t trust her and she says she wants a divorce. Open Question: The next big idea? Battery charging stations?
To understand the question, you need a little background. Back when Bell telephone controlled the phone system, the phones where/are powered by (low voltage ) electricity from the power grid. More recently the phone service uses “cell towers” and switching stations that use power (a little of it solar). Cell phones are mostly powered by recharging batteries, from power off the grid. I got to thinking, millions (billions?) of watts of electrical power where/are consumed by the land line phone system, and an additional huge number of battery charging systems for cell phones.

In the big power outages in NY a few years ago, several million phones would not work! No power! The cells would work, but the cell towers and switching stations where down, except in rare cases where backup generators where working.

So my question is: If we changed the entire phone network to be solar powered. Quickly phasing out traditional land lines in most cases, and using solar/to charge the batteries powering most phones, cell towers, and switching stations, what would be the best, most economically feasible way to do that?

Voting Question: What does it seem like is going on between me and my male friend? *Long but interesting!*?
Hi there,

I have a friend of mine that I met years ago through working at my job at the airlines. Well come to find out we share the same two good friends. A few years ago he was married, now he’s divorced and single for the past 2 years. Everyone knows that I am going away within the next month to study abroad in Italy for 6 weeks and I’ll be doing a little bit of traveling afterwards (2.5 months in total). This friend of mine is excited for me, a little more than others, which I appreciate the support. Also at the same time he has now offered his cell phone and SIM cards for me to use abroad (he says he has spares). I did mention that I would like to learn how to drive a stick shift vehicle before going abroad, but I don’t know where to go for it since no one seems to have any other vehicle than an automatic. He immediately offered to teach me how to drive, I just had to choose the date and time. Here we are a couple weeks after mentioning learning to drive a stick and he taught me last Saturday. I was totally embarrassed but he gave me a hug several times afterwards and said it was okay and later that he was impressed.

After he visited his son this past week in the central valley, he came by my house and we snuggled up on my couch and watched some t.v from 10:30pm-1am. He told me that I was a really great snuggler. Right before he left, he went in for a kiss on the lips and we kissed a few times after that. He texted me when he got home to let me know he made it safe and that he had a really great time.

Tuesday evening I went into work for 2 hours (from 1600-1800) and he was at the ticket counter within 25 minutes of my shift working. He works on the computers for all the airlines at the airport. He touched my lower waist when he walked by and said hello to my other co-workers. As I was getting off I texted him to hold the fort down while I went out to dinner and going home afterwards. He offered me a ride, then he was came up one floor and was in the same elevator that I was going into. He gave me a ride to my car instead of walking it.

Other conversations have continued on since then. Yesterday we hung out at his place, cuddled up on the couch, kissed, then a little tongue action, and talked more about life and what are likes and dislikes are. He also mentioned that he sent out an email to everyone at work to try to get a couple days covered in early May so he could go with me to Maui. He suggested that I go to Portland, Oregon with him, I was shocked when he asked me. I told him that I wanted to go to Maui before I lose my flight benefits, then he said he could always go to Portland another time. We went to dinner and I dropped him back off at his place, but he didn’t get out of the car until he would get a kiss or two from me.

He texted me about 30-45 minutes later to see how I was doing and hope I had a good day with him and more quality time with my pillow continues (I consider him as my pillow), but also we talk about pillows in general of how lucky they are to have each of us on them. I told him that I gave my 3 week notice to my boss and he said “I don’t know if I should cheer for you or not- but no matter what I’m happy if you’re happy.”

What does all this mean? Is he really a good guy? Is he trying to build something more? Are we past the friend zone and “dating” without officially saying anything? He also loves to kiss me on the forehead multiple times and gives me giant hugs ALL THE TIME.

Open Question: Do you let your young children use “technology”?
I’ll be having my first daughter in a couple of weeks. My husband and I decided that we won’t allow her to have iPad, iPhone, handheld electronic games, Xbox, wii, a t.v. In her room or let her watch more than 2 movies at the theater a month.

We want her to play outside, use her imagination, do crafts, read, play with toys and most of all socialize with other children.

What is your approach on this?
How was your childhood?

Open Question: What uses data on the iPhone 4s?
I got an iphone4s yesterday, and I’m on the 2gb data plan.
I’ve done the “official” research, where it tells me I can do 1000 emails, 10000 texts, 4000 webpages, etc etc

But what uses data? I know Siri does, iMessage does,
how about my apps like Facebook or Pinterest or Instagram? Do games take up data? Silly question, but how about Emoji?

Is 2gb enough for a high school senior, in your opinion? I mean, I thought it was fine but i’ve already used like 100 mb and I didn’t really.. do much?

Open Question: How to convince my parents to get me a phone for my birthday?
Although my birthday isn’t going to be for a couple of months, I really want a smartphone for my birthday. I had my first cell phone in fifth grade for emergency. I was very responsible until my dad accidently poured water all over it. Then I had a temporary emergency phone in sixth grade. My parents returned that cell phone because it wasn’t needed. In sixth grade I got a fb account without my parents knowing. My dad caught me posting some pics. So now he’s suspicious whenever I’m online. This year I got a Samsung Galaxy Tablet from my dad’s friend. According to my parents, I always stayed up late with the tablet. My mom thinks I have a bf and my dad thinks I take too many pictures. My little sisters were playing a game with it and broke it. -.- I was so mad and cried. My dad considered getting me a phone. My mom blew it saying she thinks I have a bf. I don’t and I don’t even want one! I don’t talk to guys at all. My mom won’t let me on the computer to play games at ALL. I am in seventh grade and yes, all of my friends have it. I have straight A averages since last year. I am working real hard to get a straight A average this year so it’ll show I’m responsible. I’m definitely mature enough. And because of financial issues I guess I haven’t got gifts for my birthday since second grade. ): I go out sometimes with my friend but it’s so embarassing having to use her phone and there’s only SPEAKER! -.- Even worse, my mom won’t let me out because she thinks I’m going out with a GUY. Ugh! My dad understands I don’t have a bf, thank goodness. There is nothing to do at my house because it’s a game-free zone. We don’t have kinect, xbox, and all that goods.
When I get a phone I promise to my parents that I will get no more than two B’s, turn off my phone around 8-8:30 on school days, 9-10 on weekends, and what else?

Voting Question: What kind of job best suites my disability?
Hello everyone, I seem to be at a major crossroad in my life. I am a 23 year old recent college grad with a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from a top 30 university. However, as college progressed my hearing slowly started to deteriorate. While I am no where near “deaf,” I am considered hard of hearing. Face to face, I usually have relatively no problem speaking with colleagues as long as the background noise isn’t too bad (although at times I must ask them to repeat themselves). However, speaking on the phone is a DAUNTING task.

My problems lie here:
1) Most jobs require employees to frequently speak on the phone. All of my previous work experience was in sales for high-end technology companies. My plan was to go into the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sales/management field given my expertise and experience. However, my options in this field now seem limited.

2) Most jobs require a preliminary phone call interview. In person, I can usually blow any interviewer away (my sales experience is actually quite extensive). However, not sounding like an idiot on the phone due to not being able to understand what is being said makes getting an in-person interview problematic.

3) There’s a recession at the moment. If the economy were better I’m sure more employers would be willing to take a chance on me with my disability. However, with tons of non-handicapped people out of work, my chances seem to be cut down even further.

I am fantastic when it comes to speaking to people and building relationships, which is what made me such a good salesman in the first place. Is there any kind of B2B job category in my industry for a young and capable man such as myself that would not require me to be on the phone often? I’m hoping my disability doesn’t limit my future potential for advancement in any field I go into.

I hate the feeling that I worked my tail off for years, graduated with honors, got a large amount of work experience and have a fully capable good head on my shoulders but I’m being limited by this new disability.

Note:
1) Hearing Aids do not work for me. My doctor says it is because the hearing aids cannot pick up the lower frequencies that are most affected for me. (Trust me, I bought extremely expensive hearing aids just to try and they only seem to make things worse.)

2) The doctors believe I am suffering from nerve damage

3) The fields I worked in sales for were not science related but were a great opportunity to learn B2B sales (technology based though)

4) For the love of God, please don’t say anything like “there are plenty of handicapped people that have become very successful.” I understand that, but for right now I need a job within my field that I can use as a stepping stone to prove that I can still do great things even with my disability.

5) While I know that employers are not legally allowed to discriminate against me for my disability, I hope everyone is wise enough to understand that most subconsciously will. I’m hard of hearing, not stupid.

What kind of job titles within the science field should I be looking into that can be adapted around my disability?

Please be kind. I’m having a hard enough time dealing with this as it is. I welcome all opinions and answers.

Resolved Question: Unlock HTC Evo for use in Australia?
I purchased an HTC Evo (NOT 3d) in the US back in May. I moved to Australia the following August. Haven’t been using the Evo since then because the network isn’t available here. However, yesterday I noticed a cell phone store advertising the new HTC Evo 3D. I asked the sales clerk about using my Evo in Australia (since I still have it and the plan is still in effect), and he said that I could if I “unlocked” it. Is this so? What does unlocking even mean? And how would I be able to do that?

Voting Question: Anyone have this problem charging there cell phone?
I have a 3 g android prepaid through cin bell its a huawei and I’ve had it for almost a year and whenever I charge it lately it automatically says it’s 90% charged as soon as I plug it in than I unplug it and it completely turns off I can charge it for an hour and as soon as I unplug it it dies. And its not the charger cause my bf uses the same charger and it works fine.

Open Question: Video Player Question – Does This Exist?
Hi! This is gonna be a weird and embarrassing question, but I have to know if this exists. Financially, I don’t have the privileges to buy a “Smart Phone”, etc. or any other phone (I only have a Flip Cell PREPAID Phone for now). I’m in the middle of a career transition as well as relocating to live in another state.

Anyway, I went on a trip to where I’m planning to move & tho’ I’m Not ready to move yet I had taken Vids. I Had imported them into I-Movie, BUT since I can only afford my Flip Cell Pre-Paid Phone which has a CRAPPY Quality (i.e. I re-recorded a couple of Clips that I imported into I-Movie & put it on my Cell) I wanted to or wish that I could have some type of Video player (Just a Video Player w/ No other Features) just to bring w/ me to work, etc. For example, I had a co-worker who would come to work & during her break she would watch TV from some device (portable). I don’t know what it was, but it gave me the idea of if they make small Portable Digital TV’s then wouldn’t they have a Portable Vid Player just for Vids Only?

Matter of fact, there’s a Vid I recorded of a beautiful lake & when I arrive at my job a few mins. early I would watch that small clip that I re-recorded on my Cell as a good way of starting my day. So,

Would anyone know if a Portable Vid Player (that Only Plays Vids) Exists?

& if it does

Where can I buy one for a reasonable price?

Lastly, if this DOESN’T Exist

Would anyone have any suggestions of how I could watch some of these beautiful Vid Clips on a Portable device that I can bring to work & watch during my breaks?

Please let me know. I really appreciate it & I’m only to any suggestions.

At about 3:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, June 23, Chavo Guerrero[7] received a voicemail message from Benoit’s phone stating that he overslept and missed his flight and would be late for that night’s house show in Beaumont, Texas. Guerrero called Benoit back and Benoit sounded tired and groggy as he confirmed everything that he had said in his voice message. Guerrero, who was “concerned about Benoit’s tone and demeanor”, called him back twelve minutes later. Benoit did not answer the call and Guerrero left a message asking Benoit to call back.At 3:44 p.m. EDT, Benoit called Guerrero back, stating that he did not answer the call because he was on the phone with Delta Air Lines changing his flight. Benoit stated that he had a stressful day due to Nancy and Daniel “being sick with food poisoning”. A co-worker who often traveled with Benoit called him from outside the Houston airport and Benoit answered. Benoit told the coworker that Nancy was vomiting blood and that Daniel was also vomiting.

On Sunday, June 24, five text messages were sent to co-workers between 3:51 a.m. and 3:58 a.m. using both Chris Benoit’s and Nancy Benoit’s cell phones. Four of them were the Benoit’s address and the fifth said that the family’s dogs were in the enclosed pool area also noting a garage side door was left open.During this time Benoit called and left a voicemail for an unknown friend. Benoit later called WWE’s talent relations office stating that his son was vomiting and that he and Nancy were at the
