Open Question: Which of the following business practices bug you the most?
Just a little informal research about modern business trends which tend to get on consumers’ nerves.
If you have any to add, feel free.
A. Robocalls — a computer calls you and places you on hold.
B. Can’t take “no” for an answer — After you tell them you are not interested, they keep pushing.
C. Callers who don’t know your name — Either they can’t pronounce your name or they have such a thick accent that they can’t say it correctly.
D. Callers who don’t speak your language — They don’t speak your language well enough to communicate effectively.
E. Mechanical answering service — You get caught in a seemingly endless loop of “press 1 for xxx, press 3 for yyy….”
F. Being recorded — They want to claim it is for training and quality, but what do they really want to record you for?”
G. Restricted or no caller ID — If they are for real, why do they want to hid who they are?
H. Calling your cell phone — Hello? These are MY minutes. I don’t want you to use them begging me to donate for the local policeman’s ball.
Open Question: What cell phone/PDA should I buy?
I used to have a Blackberry Pearl 8110 that I loved, but I made the decision to trade it in for an iPhone instead. I hated the iPhone because I cannot acclimate to a touch-screen, and it had a lot of glitches. I am on AT&T, and I currently have a Blackberry Pearl Flip that is Unlocked. I thought I would have liked the phone, but it does not have the typical Blackberry Quality, and I am unable to get my email set up because it is unable to fully connect with the AT&T Network.
I am planning on purchasing my phone through eBay, it does not have to be new, but I would prefer to it be originally made for AT&T considering my trouble with my current unlocked phone.
My Criteria:
-QWERTY Keyboard (Can be like Pearl)
-Decent Internet Connection
-AT&T Network
-Decent Battery Life
-A Good Vibrate (My iPhone practically had an epileptic seizure when it vibed. I need to feel it, not hear it)
-Most importantly, an intuitive email setup that can hold both a Gmail, and Yahoo! Account at the same time
-Under $250 used or new on eBay
I would go back to a Pearl, but I want to change things up a little. I was thinking of saving some money and getting a Palm Centro, but I heard Battery Life is terrible. Perhaps a new Curve?
I’m open to any brand, it just needs to fit my criteria.

Resolved Question: Recommendations for basic cell phone?
I use my phone to – well – call. I hardly text and do not surf the web. I am on ATT but contract is up soon so I could switch but all the websites talk about is the multimedia features – and all I need is good quality calling, and hands free dialing.
Any ideas or suggestions?
