Open Question: help, I’m low tech!
What’s a simple, eazy to use, and cheap cell phone to use for email?
honestly I’m a low tech girl who’d like to welcome any advice and recommendations y’all have to help me find a cellular device suitable to my use– which will primarily be for email
what I’m looking for is maybe very basic to many of you reading, maybe to the point of “this is common”, but I have no idea, I’m so disconnected– I mean I thought blackberry was just that, a berry! until someone shoved a phone in my face. most definitely was a WTF moment for me!
features I’m looking for:
- full “keyboard” A-Z QWERTY style w/ numbers, punctuation marks, and all that goodness
none of that onscreen touch keyboard bullshit
(**sidenote: I’ve seen phones w/ slide out keyboard, what are they called? those any good?)
- eazy to connect wi-fi to allow me to check email, look up maps, and some websites, etc.
don’t care too much for lengthy internet sessions
not gonna be downloading ringtones or anything of that sort
so whatever super strength wi-fi network stuff I don’t care for
(**sidenote: what’s up w/ downloading documents from email though onto a phone, for example .pdf or .doc files?)
- camera capability… photo and/or video w/ adequate quality, y’know for events of emergency or just something cool
- less than $100, lower the better
I’d be willing to check out something up to $150 though if it’s that awesome
not tryin’ to break the bank though
- small size, so it’s eazy to keep your pocket
not really interested in those flat palm things
Is there anything like this out there? I’m sure there’s a lot, but maybe you can give me suggestions, or let me know what sucks, or tell what your faves are, and reason w/ me as to why I should check it out, too!
Also, are most of phones w/ internet access to email, etc. generally required to sign a contract and subscribe to plans?
Is there any “gophone” service for what I’d like to use my phone for: talking, voicemail, and email?
Thanks in advance!
Open Question: does this happen with cell phones to you?
ok i personally do not like CDMA (im a GSM fan boy haha) and the main reason is the call/signal quality
i had verizon for about a year or 2 and now im currently on tmobile and i notice when the verizon phone got low on signal it sounded really digitalized and you would hear every other word on tmobile it would get just a little staticie and if i completely lost signal it would cut off but not drop the call if i got signal within a few seconds
but have you noticed the every other word thing with verizon and sprint? and it wasn’t my phone because when i use my dads verizon phone now it does the same thing
Open Question: Help with the LG 600G Bluetooth Cell Phone?
I recently bought a Bluetooth USB for my LG600G to put songs on it but it doesn’t support MP3 ringtones so I downloaded an audio editer to switch the music file from MP3 to .amr, when I was finished editing the music file that I wanted I put the file on my cell phone via bluetooth and for some reason the song sounded like it was recorded of the radio, it was a very poor quality.
I’m not sure if the bad quality is from it being an .amr file or if it was the Audio editor.
So my question is Is there another Audio Editor that I can dowlload off the internet for free? The program I was using is called AVS Audio Editor.
Thanks for all your help!
