Open Question: I found a used cell phone?
ok, first im not a theif but i found a cell phone i had in the past i found it on the ground. it works perfectly fine but there are no numbers in the phone to call. i do not have a phone rite now i was wondering if there was any way i could get this phone hooked up or on a plan? Details about the phone: it was hooked up with kodo and it is a qwerty keyboard phone, nothing fancy it is a samsung Intensity if you could help it would be glady appreciated thanks.

Open Question: accessing other part of samsung trance?
I am currently running my laptop on Ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala so i need someone who knows linux/ubuntu on this as well as someone who is advanced with cell phones. I have a Samsung Trance(SCH-U490) and i plugged it into my laptop, and put the phone in usb mass storage mode(shuts off cell phone use for calls) and went to the disk utilityt(Palimpsest Disk Utility) and under Samsung SCH-U490 it shows my 2 gb micro sd card in the phone, as well as a “18446744073648 mb” section that it says is unallocated space. I think it is the built in storage and possibly the rest ofthe phone’s internal memory, but i dont know and would like to access it without having to format it(possible???). So i was just wondering 2-3 things: 1)Can i Access the phone’s “1gb” storage on ubuntu(how? b/c i havent been able to so far) 2)What do you think the unallocated storage is 3)is it at all possible to access in ubuntu/ any version of linux/windows without formatting? thanks
Open Question: Is there a good cell phone brand for reception inside an old brick apartment building?
I live in a large apartment building that is very old and is made of brick. I used to get very good reception with an LG phone, but when I changed carriers and got a Samsung I began getting terrible reception. It’s became a major inconvenience, and I want to get a new phone, but I’m worried that my experience with the LG might have been a fluke, so I thought I’d ask here for any opinions based on personal experience. If you live in an old brick building, you’re experience would be especially helpful.
I live in Chicago, so I’m pretty sure it’s not the signal (my carrier is Verizon, and there’s no changing that anytime soon).

I find myself judging people who don’t have smartphones (Android, Blackberry, iPhone). Actually I find myself judging people who don’t have an Android or iPhone device, period. I know it’s wrong. Anyone else?
