Open Question: Im 16 and my boyfriend is 20. I need help with my Parents! PLEASE!?
We have known each other for years, our family’s are sort of close. We went 4 years without seeing each other then one night he came over and we completely just connected! Since that night we have been together, its been a year and 6 months. I love him, and he loves me. I know he loves me bc of the things he does for me and I know everything he does. He honestly enjoys showing the world he belongs to me. The problem I have is my parents HATE IT! My mom caught me texting him when we were together for 6 months and freaked out! She threatned to get the cops involved and more! She took my phone and grounded me for a month. He bought me a cell phone to hide and talk to him and he waited until I was ungrounded. We then had to begin to be more sneaky about us and then just 3 months ago my mom caught us again, but this time riding four wheelers together. She then called the cops and took my phone again. Cops could not charge him with anything at all, its been 3 months of only being able to see him like once every 3 weeks. Its so tough, I know it is for him but he stays. He even bought me a Engagement ring to prove to my parents if we got caught again. Im just ready to give up and tell my parents how much I love him. Someone please help me think about what I should do with them or tell me what to say to them.

Open Question: He always stares at me, but never talks to me. Does he like me?
Disclaimer: I know it seems long, but please read it all. It’s interesting, I swear! (or at least in my opinion! haha)

Sometimes guys can be so confusing! I’m at senior and this guy, John, is also a senior. We’re both 17. Even though we live in a small town, we went to different elementary schools and never had classes together up until our junior year. He’s popular and likes party and have fun; That’s okay with me. I like to drink and have fun too, although we’ve never been at the same parties. I’m not popular, but I’m certainly not uncool. I’d say I’m certainly in the upper half. I hang out with a lot of the popular people, but not as much as all of my other friends.

Junior year we started off with a full year honors english class together (although it is questionable why he is in an honors class). I’d say that for the first month or so of my junior year, I didn’t even know his name nor did I pay any attention to him. Then, I started to notice that he was cute and that he seemed to always be staring at me. But, he never talked to me. Always just stared, whether in class or in the hallway or at lunch. Like I would notice him turning around at lunch. November of that year, I even bought his old iPhone from him just because I wanted to get a chance to know him! (I also was planning to buy a used iPhone from someone to try it out before buying a new one). Second semester junior year, we had 3 classes together: the full year english honors class, gym/health, and a writing elective class. The longest conversations we had were one day in health class when we did a speed dating activity. I remember that the girls got paired up (more girls than boys in the class) and then each guy came around and we all just talked for a few minutes. I was lucky to be paired with my best friend and she told me that when John was talking to us, he didn’t use his cell phone or ignore us and just sit there, as he had with every other group of girls. He was also funny and he said something kind of mean (but funny) at one point but then totally made up for it, if you get what I mean, sort of apologized. It was really cute.

Fast forward to prom season of junior year. I thought there was a slim chance that he would ask me. Imagine my surprise when I find out, from a teacher might I add who was talking to him, that he was taking another girl to prom. This girl, who I was friends with in elementary school, also took a guy from me in seventh grade. He was my best friend and then she swooped in there and took him! John and Alicia dated for a while and just recently broke up a few months ago.

Senior year, first semester. Our only classes together were health and gym, which was okay with me at the time. He and his girlfriend were still together and I was trying to get over him.

Now, second semester just began. He’s in two of my classes and I can’t get him off my mind. Both my honors writing class and psychology class have about 12 students in them and so it’s hard to not take notice of him. On the first day of classes, I noticed him staring at me during both of our classes together. Also, the classes are in a row since they are periods 1 and 2.

This boy makes me insane and it drives me crazy that I can’t just get over him. I want to have clarity by graduation, but based upon the past year and a half, I doubt if that will ever happen. I can’t stop thinking about him. Last night, he was even in my dream. I was so happy because all we were doing was talking and figuring things out. In the past, he was in my dreams two other times but we were doing more fun things then, if you get what I mean

Question is: Why is he acting like this? He’s normally not shy and he has no problem being loud or yelling out. He’s social and has a lot of friends, as I do. Guys, do you think I should do anything? Is this how you act around girls who you always stare at? I’m not insecure about myself, I’ve had a lot of guys tell me I’m attractive and funny. I know I could probably do better than him, but I’m stuck on him. Help?!

To anyone who read the whole thing, I appreciate it a lot. Hopefully it didn’t bore you to sleep! I tried to exclude unimportant parts.

Open Question: What is the best way to have Christians to leave me alone?
Hi I bought a house on last year summer & I realize that I live in a Christian area that has about 4 or 5 Christian churches. I always see Christians members riding their bikes who pass out magazines & brochures. Sometimes they ring my door bell & they leave brochures. I had one lady who offer me if I wanted to pray in front of my house & I told her no thank you have a good day. Yesterday on my way home on the train, I was playing my cell phone & I had this middle age guy who was well dress up who he approach me & he also tried to talk to me about 9/11,President w.bush,politics, & the bible. For the past 30 mints, I listen to him & I didn’t wanted to be rude but I should have said to something to him to leave me alone. I did tried to give him a hint that I’m Catholic but he keeps talking about the bible.

As Catholic, I love God & Jesus but since when America is a Christian nation? If I wanted to learn more about the bible, I would go to church. What if I was Jewish,Muslim, or Buddhas? I would be offended. I’m not attacking Christians. Is just I don’t know. I also do not think Christians are ignorant or annoying people or too Conservative.

P.S. As for the guy on the train, I ask him what type of bible is it? He says that is the bible of everything koran,Christianity, & other religions that I forgot of what he said. Which is awkward bible. I thought every bible is different.

Yes you are right that they are mormons who wears white dressing shirt,black slacks,black shine shoes, & a tie but not the guys who I’m talking about & no their not 2 guys. I know my neighbors & who they are. It was one of those bike guys who handed me the brochures. Mormons are not really Christians.

Open Question: she bought me these item now she took them away.?
let me say first my mom never hits me i want to be clear on that.look me and my bother got into a fight at mcdonalds we threw ketchup on each other.im older im 15 he is 13. i got some ketchup on some woman clothes and my mom had to reinburst her for the damage. my mom freak out on me told me i was a immature baby and my brother to in front of people in mcdonlads. Leaving mcdonalds she told us that she should get us some pacifers and some pampers and a playpen. people were looking at me. like she was right. she took away my x box my i pod and cell i cant go out on weekends now. on the car ride home she is yelling at us telling us when she goes to wallmart she should buy us a crib and stuff.telling me we made her look like a bad mother shes being a total bitch to me.

Can i turn her into CPS for abuse saying those things to me? isnt it slander or something saying lies about someone. saying i need pampers and making me look bad in public.For the record he started it my brother not me. its not fair shes doing this. she took away my games i pod my cell phone and i cant go out now cause of that bitch. now she wont let me take drivers ed. she say im to immature to drive. cant cps make her a better mom or just tell her to chill out.. sincerely matt

Open Question: Is my niece being abused?
She’s 16 years old. She came to my house last night with a big knot on her forehead, she got into it with her mother because she save up her own money to buy a cell phone, but her mom still didnt want her to have it and she refused to give it up. Her mom (My sister) has already been in jail quite a bit. anyways, her mom hit her over the head with a frying pan at least 5 times (crazy, i know) and my niece finally got away and came here. should i call the police? My sister might be on her third strike and this could mean shes going to jail for the rest of her life. Or should i just keep my niece for awhile? in need of lots of advice please and thank you. I’m only 21.. So I’m not sure if i can even get custody. My niece has no one else… I don’t want her to end up in a foster home.

My college has a stupid rule and doesn’t even allow to access social networking sites blocking even FB. I just wanted to bypass the firewall.

I heard some staff speaking that the college had bought a new firewall for about 8 lakhs (in INR). Can anyone figure out what’s the name of that proxy and how i can bypass it? Here’s some detail that i know:

1 week ago I was driving on the highway to go college I think he saw me driving. he was driving fast.Then I send him message on FB. lolll I saw you today…you were driving fast. Were u getting late for ur class. After that I txted him on his cell and asked him did you get my message on FB. he said yea and he replied to the message. That’s just how I drive. 2 days ago I send him a text at 10:45am I said Hey what’s up. He repiled back at 12:30 said going to work and you? I said I got out of psychology class so after 3 hrs I send him a text do you buy book at library or online… He replied back at the library. Then I send him a txt are you still at work. He reply back I went there for little while. I said that I saw this nice car, he replied which one. Then I txt him blue mercedes. he did not text me back after that. TODAY AGAIN I SAW HIM ON HIGHWAY, HE WAS DRIVING FAST, HE CAME INFRONT OF MY CAR AND SPEED UP. Then I also speed up going behind his car.I DONT WANT ASK HIM THAT WE SHUD HANGOUT IN COLLEGE.because I did once on FB and he did not reply back. I also text him 2 times and he never texted me first? Open Question: What’s wrong with me? 10 points if you can help me out.?
Please read the whole thing, i need help because i feel like breaking down. if you’re planning to not really help by answering with unnecessary answers the please don’t bother answering.

When i was in the 1st grade that’s when i knew that i have a broken family. I knew my mom wasn’t happy, my dad wasn’t happy and i was an only child who was getting damaged throughout the years by what i kept seeing and hearing. There was once where my dad was teaching me and i don’t remember what made my mom tick off but she started yelling and screaming at my dad and they literally fought in front of me, Mom tried hitting my dad with a wooden hanger and dad grabbed it and tried taking it away from her and i remember i kept trying to get in and stop the fight by yelling and crying at age 6 but they both ignored me.
Trust me, that fight wasn’t the only fight that has ever happened in front of me, basically all the fights that they have are in front of me. And i had literally no one to run to when they were fighting, no one to hold me while i cried. My mom for some reason kept accusing my dad that he molested me when i was in grade school, she even took me to special doctors to see any signs of me being molested. I don’t really remember what they told her, but then she went to my school and said that i sneak out of school to hang out with my dad because every time i came home with dirty shoes (not that dirty, it only had the dirt of other kids shoes when they accidentally stepped on my feet) but what she thought wasn’t true, i never sneaked out of my school, i was kind of the goody goody student.
Then my parents started sleeping in separate bedrooms.
And my last year of grade school, i was out with mom walking in the parking lot’s sidewalk near the sea in front of a mall to enjoy the weather when we out of nowhere spotted my dad with two strange women. I felt like .. i can’t really explain how i felt, it still hurts when i get flash backs. So when mom and i confronted him, he lied to my face. Denied it. And i believed him, i told myself that made i mistook him for someone else. But sadly i didn’t. When i was in my first year of middle school, my dad called me and said that he had forgotten his cellphone in his bedroom and told me to place it in his cabinet. When i went to do that, i checked him picture file in his phone and saw a picture of him and a woman. I was shocked and placed it where my dad told me to and didn’t tell my mother nor anyone. Just kept it in.
My mother’s salary isn’t that much. she started to argue with my dad about him not cooperating with house stuff, like he always gives her a literally small amount of money to buy the groceries and she always ended up paying more. Mom always bought me stuff that were a bit expensive because she knew that my dad wouldn’t buy it for me and she knew that other kids had the same stuff she didn’t want me to get upset or anything. And he just didn’t care, because he only kept saying Ok Ok but never sticked to his words, he was only Oking my mother in attempt of shutting her up.
Which hurt me, because i witnessed everything. Then my mother kept saying that she knows why he doesn’t help out with groceries or tried to make our house look good because he spends his money with the other woman and my dad would get mad because she’d say that in front of me and he kept saying that there wasn’t any woman. (but dad still payed for the house bills)

The three of us live in the same house but dad is never around in the weekends nor on wednesday, I don’t know how i even lived like this, both my parents never thought of how i was feeling inside. I never spoke to anyone about my feelings and problems. Couldn’t talk to my boyfriend about my problems because i felt embarrassed.
And now, i’m 17 and last year i was with my boyfriend on the house phone when i saw on my cell that my dad was calling me so i hung up the phone with my boyfriend and answered my dad only to find out that it wasn’t my dad, it was the other woman. She told me “You’re Jake’s daughter right? Hi, i’m Sam your dad’s girlfriend” then she said “you don’t believe me? Talk to her!!” and then the line was shut. I was left speechless and hurried to my mother crying and told her what happened.
Mom met my dad somewhere without me dad couldn’t face me for over three weeks. He said that he was sorry and that he’s done with her. Only i wish it was true. He still is with her because once my dad and i were out and i was a bit ahead of him and he got a call and i heard a woman’s voice, mom never calls him rarely. Yes my dad still lives with us, apparently im the reason why they can’t get a divorce. I adapted in some way of our weird lives. every two years the 3 of us we’d travel to visit my mom’s side of the family and here is where he pays for our expenses. B
sorry didn’t have enough space in upper side so i’ll be writing this here that relates to the question,i just wrote about my past so you get my background and see if this has anything to do with what im about to write:
I for the past 11 years i’ve been depressed only this year i started to not hand out with friends, i’m not even online to talk to them, i start getting paranoid whenever i am out at a mall alone, i have no social skills when im with people, i distant myself from my only best friend who never asked how im holding up, i get pretty irritated from some really not good qualities within her, even from my boyfriend, sometimes he pissed me off when he worries about me a lot, and when he knows there’s something wrong with me he doesn’t ask if im okie, or when he talks about marriage and kids i comment that i wouldn’t have kids and bring him down a bit ( i don’t know why ) or when he’s excited about something i don’t get so enthusiastic for

(You can go to your local hardware store, and install one yourself or with a parent!)  Use a water filter to purify tap water instead of buying bottled water. Not only is bottled water expensive, but it generates large amounts of container waste. Watch a video about what happens when you buy things. Your purchases have a real impact, for better or worse. Donate or recycle cell phones and computers responsibly when the time comes. E-waste contains mercury and other toxics and is a growing environmental problem.

Open Question: My best friend is really depressed about her life and I don’t know how to help?
I am a 21 year old female in college. I live with my long time boyfriend in an apartment together. My best friend since we were 4(we refer to each other as sisters), lives a 6 hour drive away. She lives with her boyfriend and their 7 month old baby. Let me explain the issue here. Well, first of all, my best friend dropped out of school when she was 15. She was getting into a lot of trouble and she started dating a guy who was 22 at the time. She told me of her plans to go live with him in his apartment and I knew it would be a bad idea. Her father was/is a deadbeat alcoholic and she hasn’t spoken to him in awhile, and her mother honestly just didn’t want to deal with her rebellion anymore. So she went to live with this guy, and he trapped her until she was 18. He would not allow her to have a cell phone, a car, he wouldn’t let her drive his car, he even got mad at ME when I took her to get her nails done! Yet the entire time she seemed happy with him. Finally, when we were 18 she admitted to me that he was abusive and she wanted out. She had met another guy who was really nice and was in college and had some money. She moved back in with her mom(who already has 2 new babies that she cannot afford, she doesn’t have a car, etc.) and started seeing the new guy. She was able to get her GED but still does not have her drivers license or much experience driving. She even enrolled in college, but that ended when she found out she was pregnant. Initially, the guy didn’t want anything to do with the baby. She called me crying, asking if she could stay with us. I was hesitant but I would do anything for my best friend and my boyfriend said that we could make arrangements for her to move in. Well, her baby daddy finally came around and decided he wanted the baby. So he has been taking care of both of them and they are all miserable. He apparently wanted to break up with her but feels stuck because of the baby. And I feel really bad because my best friend has nothing to do all day but sit and take care of her baby. She doesn’t go anywhere, she can never buy herself anything, has NO friends, and her boyfriend wants to get away from her. He has even told her, “You can go live with your best friend and I’ll send checks for the baby.” Yet she stays with him and keeps telling herself that they are all going to move to Canada together, despite their money problems. She wants to live in the country on a big piece of land and have a garden. Coincidentally, my boyfriend has a piece of land in the woods and there is a house and garden on it which he’s inheriting from his grandfather. We are trying to clean it up and renovate it so that we can stay there. I told my best friend that she is more than welcome to come stay there with us, but she starts complaining and says that she is going to moving to Canada instead. She is ALWAYS complaining about her life, if I say “I have alot of laundry to do today” she will say “well I have loads to do everyday so consider yourself lucky.” and it gets really annoying. Also, after she had her baby, she was quickly losing the weight, and only had 15 more pounds to go until she would be back to her normal weight. Apparently she has gained instead of lost, because she actually weighs another 15 pounds more than when I last saw her. She complains about this too, and since she eats organic and healthy foods, I have explained to her that she really just needs to go for walks and buy some hand weights so she can work out at home. She gets mad and says that she is too afraid to walk in her neighborhood alone. Basically, she has an excuse for everything and then complains about it. I want to help her but I am running out of ideas and she is frustrating me, but honestly I am the only person who has her back 100% of the time.
What can I do?

Open Question: Is it illegal for police to enter before written consent is given?
My house (in TN) was raidedd by narcotics, and I have been charged with manufacturing marijuana, simple possession of marijuana (approximately .1g), possession of drug paraphernalia, underage possession and consumption of alcohol, possession of a firearm with intent, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and possession of a schedule IV narcotic.

Here’s what happened:
I awoke to knocking on my door, I look through the peephole to see multiple officers in my enclosed front porch. I crack the door enough for my head and part of my body to be seen and that I showed no intent of harm. They asked who I was, and I replied with my name. They asked who lived there, I attempt to continue this conversation in my porch as a roommate was asleep on the couch. As I slowly walk out of the door and attempt to close the door behind me; keep in mind that I am facing the officers in my porch, not turned around; I am grabbed, down and cuffed, and restrained by an officer’s foot with weight on my back. They kick the door in, and proceed to enter the house. By doing so, they awaken the roommate who was on the couch and pull him on the floor and handcuff him. He asks very loudly “where is y’all’s warrant?” The officer-in-charge responds: “you don’t know your rights.” They proceed to enter the rest of the house where they wake up my third roommate and his girlfriend in bed, and pull them out of bed, and demand that they be clothed, after they had handcuffed them too. Keep in mind that I am still outside in my porch throughout this. They continue to search the house (assumption for more people). They return and ask me how many people are in the house. They go back in for a period of around 5 minutes where I hear doors being opened, shut, and my basement door being slidden open, as the light in there is rather hard to find. In my house on the dining room table there may have been a scale, a grinder, a few objects of paraphernalia. In the basement, there may have been two freshly potted plants, estimated to be about a week old, in my opinion. I gave written consent as they had already been in the house. Another officer who arrived after I had been cuffed whom I know on a personal level had been standing on the porch with me, talking about things, such as work, parents, and what was going on. He would have had conflicts had he entered the house, but he arrived seeing officers in and coming out of my house before I gave consent. My question is, would the consent given be inadmissible to do the circumstances, or would the search fall under “fruit from the poisonous tree” as they entered the house illegally and had no reason to restrain me?

Other random information that may have importance:
Guns were drawn on all people at the house once I stepped outside the door.
None of us were checked for id or asked for id.
None of us were given a drug test, or alcohol test.
One firearm was a loaded 22 cal. s/a rifle underneath my bed.
The other firearm was a 12ga pump shotgun (unloaded) in the roommate whom was on the couch’s bedroom closet.
The officer I know has come into my place of business, which is a pawn shop, on personal business and asked how I was after all of this.
The narcotics officers left a spiral notebook on my table which contains handwritten copies of phone calls of what sounds like drug deals, peoples names, cell phone numbers, socials, addresses, and drivers licenses. House plans, with “x’s” in certain areas.
all four of us were arrested on the same charges, although the girlfriend of the roommate was a victim of circumstance.
I am not a drug dealer or grower. I am a 19 year old kid who dumbly parties and may have thought growing weed was simpler and cheaper than buying it.

*Any information or comments given in response is strictly considered opinion, and will be consulted with my lawyer if I find it useful.
Also I have not received any form of documents stating what has been taken from my house. It has been over a month since the event occurred.

Open Question: Brother and sister in law….( please read, trust me..it’s interesting)?
Hello all. I am in desperate need of advice from people who aren’t biased on the situation(s). My husband, children and myself recently had to move in with a relative of his. DH’s brother, his wife, and their 16 month old also live here. I am very thankful for the help, but so tired of my BIL & SIL that I could scream! They are so rude and disrespectful. Not only to me but the homeowner. They fight in front of their child and my BIL has punched several holes in the wall since we’ve been here, without fixing them either. They are unemployed and do whatever they want. At their own admission, they haven’t even so much as bought their child one package of diapers. It’s frustrating because the relative we are all staying with will just go buy them whatever they need/want, right down to touch screen cell I phones that they foot the bill for as well. BIL does not clean and SIL will, after you go off on her or leave the mess for a few days. When she does clean she whines about it and makes a giant production of it. It was disgusting when we first got here and took me a month to get it decent. We fight all the time over the kids, cleaning, basically everything. They will put the baby in a high chair WITH FOOD then just walk away! Go outside, to their room, whatever. My sister in law will leave food on the high chair tray for days at a time. It’s so nasty. They even let this child, barely 16 months old, walk around holding a screwdriver or a real hammer! I have had all out arguments with my sister in law over these things, one time she actually hit me while she was holding the baby during an argument, and although I normally would have torn someone apart for that, I did not. I mean, who does that while holding their child? (She never replaced my glasses either.) anyway, yes, I know,call the cops, but that would have gotten me kicked out with nowhere to go, because BIL is a parolee on intense probation. I just don’t know what to do anymore. suggestions?
