Open Question: What can I do with a iPhone 4 that has been blacklisted?
Before anyone assumes anything bad of me I am not a thief and I did not steal the iPhone. What happened was one of my friends found it but it was not claimed after many months. He didnt need it so he gave it to me but then I find out it has been blacklisted which means the person that lost it reported it as lost and they have a new one now so they have no need for this iPhone anyway.

I can listen to music on it and use the apps etc. It can do everything normally apart from it cant make or recieve any calls, which basically makes it an iPod touch. Any useful ideas of what I can do with it? I heard I cant get it unblocked. Is there any shop that would buy blacklisted iPhones? I know most dont.

i want to update to 5.0.1 but i am not a official carrier user, everytime when i update from itunes i got locked..

so i want to update to 5.0.1 and preserve my ipad baseband so that i can still use my unofficial carrier on 5.0.1 ( i have even downloaded everything on my PC )

but never got that “HOSTS” thing what to edit from that host file or what to delete so that while updating from a custom firming apple not verify the update?

Open Question: I am 13 and I really want a job?
I am 13 and live in the UK. I really want to get a job to earn a little extra money as I am saving up for a new iphone. . Please don’t tell me to help out around the house because my mum has already told me that that is what she gives me pocket money for. I was thinking about being a babysitter and I could do it with my twin sister because I think they would trust us more if there was two of use. I also thought of dog walking but then I realized that I am not really strong enough to control big dogs.

Open Question: Help finding orange PUK code?
When I type this question into google, the orange website say I have to register an account, and since the only way to do this is by using either orange broadband (which i dont have) or a mobile phone (which is currently sim locked and therefore cannot recieve the ‘confirmation text’, hence my search for a puk code) I don’t know what to do? any suggestions? This is a new Iphone which I’ve had for about 2 weeks, and I didnt even mean to lock the sim, I was trying to work out why I couldn’t get any signal anywhere I went.

Open Question: How to upgrade to a custom 5.0.1 custom firmware for Iphone 4 in Itune without getting error 1600?
I had an unlocked Iphone 4 using the Gevey card on 4.3.5. I tried to jailbreadk and now I just getting the Apple Logo. I need to do a restore but I don’t want to update the modem firmware. I can’t restore using the 4.3.5 firmware from Apple. So I tried using the custom 5.0.1 firmware from ultra snow. But it keep getting the error 1600 from Itune. I tried using Tiny Umbrella and even editing the Hosts file but nothing works. Someone please help. Please……

Open Question: Did you that Facebook scammers are taking advantage of anti-Timeline sentiment?
Originally mentioned by Inside Facebook yesterday, scam artists are playing into the negative reaction to Facebook Timeline and convincing Facebook users to provide access to user data. The scammers use applications on Facebook to offer users a method to revert the Facebook Timeline changes and go back to the old profile. The applications use titles like “Deactivate your FB Timeline” and can be found easily through the Facebook search function. By liking the application and interacting with the instructions on the page, users are unwittingly giving the scam artists access to the Facebook profile and allowing automatic posts of spam messages with links that ultimately earn money for the scam artists after someone clicks on a link.

Some of these scam applications have been around for at least two weeks and have collected over 70,000 likes from unsuspecting Facebook users. Many of the applications will encourage fans to invite their friends as well. The main Facebook Security page doesn’t warn users of the current scam as of yet and Facebook hasn’t officially commented to tell users that Timeline cannot be deactivated once the feature is active on a user’s profile. Facebook Timeline has been pushed out to more users as of December 15, but not all Facebook users have activated the feature yet. Facebook has issued an update to the official iPhone application that includes the new Timeline feature on profile pages.

Public reaction to the Facebook Timeline has been somewhat negative since the announcement of the new feature during late September 2011. In addition, the launch of Facebook Timeline has been continually delayed by company officials over the last three months of 2011. However, users that have already switched over to Facebook Timeline are taking advantage of new features like cover photos, detailing previous life events and improving security around old posts on the Timeline.

Open Question: iphone 4 good for scheduling and organizing?
Im going back to school in the next week and have a piece of shit phone. Im looking to extend my contract under my parents, for an addiontial 2 years(with AT&T). Ive never had a smart phone and they look really interesting for planning wise. I will not be getting the internet on phone because its really expensive!!! So i was just looking at an iphone 4 or possibly a 3s, because the iphones have built in wifi so i can use it at my house,school, or just out in public.

any suggestions on which phones would help with my organizing my assignments and just anything in a nifty calender or some type of program?

I was really wanting the 4s but its too expensive at the moment and ill wait a year or two and then get it. I liked the 4s just because i could say what i had for meetings or what not and i could just look at my whole day schedule by saying “whats my schedule”… but ill have to wait

Open Question: How do deal with a copycat friend..?
She’s my best friend, and I can trust her with anything but it’s getting annoying and I can’t really take it anymore. She copies everything I do, say, wear, have, etc. Christmas was last week, and when I asked her what she got, it’s was the exact same thing of everything I already have. I know she’s only doing this because she likes my style, but I don’t really care! I can’t be my own person with someone else trying to copy my every single move. I have to admit, she IS insecure about herself and I’m only saying that out of experience with her. But that isn’t my fault, going and copying everything I do! I have an iPhone 4 in white; her parents couldn’t get her a phone because of some reason so she went and got a iPod in white. Every time we hang out we take pictures and when I put them online she always steals them and puts them in her own album which pisses me off big time. We just hung out like a 4 days ago and her clothes style is very different from what she used to wear. Even my other friend noticed and said “oh you two are dressing the same now?” and having someone else notice I think is enough. There are some funny words I use like “shanks” instead of thanks or “lololol” and guess what? SHE COPIES THEM NOW!! she NEVER used to say “lolol” EVER until I started saying it! I know it’s a small thing but come to think about it, it’s a big deal after you find out what else she’s copied! Every time she asks me what I’m wearing, at school BOOM she has something almost the same on. She also copies my personality; for example I’m the funny-sarcastic kind, and now she’s trying to be like it.. which isn’t working out so well because she is regularly too nice and her mean tends to be lame sometimes which is why it’s VERY noticeable. We were hanging out once and she said “why are you wearing orange?! you should have worm blue like me.” Obviously she only said that because she wanted us to be identical. I’m so tired of it and I want to be her friend but I just can’t stand her copying me anymore!! HELP ME!

Open Question: how to fix my iphone 3gs? PLEASE HELP.?
I have an iphone 3gs (new baseband), and recently i updated the firmware to IOS 5.0.1, my iphone was working perfectly before, it was unlocked, jail broken and fine, but once i updated to 5.0.1 through itunes, my phone’s network was stuck on “searching” or “no service” with or without a SIM, i got an AT&T SIM to try and activate it, it still failed. my phone is now stuck in the set up mode, and is useless. Recently, i used the RedSn0w program and stuff to semi-fix my phone, but its tethered, and still the SIM doesnt work, not even the AT&T SIM works. is there any way to fix my phone, downgrade, upgrade or even fix it? i’m phoneless and i’m very upset with apple. can someone help me?? Open Question: My iphone 4s with koodo uses so much data?
I just got my iphone 4s with Koodo. I have 500mgs and i only use facebook and like foursqaure but even if i just check facebook for a minute it uses .5 of a mgb. why is that? is there anything i can do to conserve my data? I always close my apps by tapping the homescreen button twice. it bothers me that i can hardly use my phone and my data plan will be gone.

Open Question: Does “Sims: Free Play” for Iphone have a glitch (Adding Sims)?
I’m currently trying to solve the “Get 5 sims in one house” goal. You see, I was able to buy a house already,unfurnished. I know that after you build the house, it will automatically lead you to the menu where you can customize your sim. However, I exited that window since I had to harvest something. I accidentally brought one of my sims to the new,unfurnished house, and this is where the problems begin.

1. I can’t seem to go back to the Sims customization page. Right now, I have 1 house that has the same picture as the bubble of gallery (You know,where the face of the sim who is currently living there appears?). It’s just that it’s starting to bug me.

2.This is the worst part of it. Remember how I said that I brought one of my sims to the new unfurnished house? Well, after bringing her there, she THINKS she lives there. Her face is in the bubble of the new house! The house with the gallery bubble? That’s where she USED to live. This is what’s really pissing me off. In the end, I decided to move her in that new house, seeing as to the fact she believes she lives there.

In the end, I’m left with thinking that there is a glitch in this game. Yes, I know it was stupid for me to exit the Sims customization page, but what’s been done has been done. Now, I’m just wondering if you guys have experienced this “glitch” and hopefully find advice on what to do. Thanks!

Open Question: Can I buy an iPhone 4s from apple (uk) and run it using a giff gaff sim card cut down to form a micro- sim?
I intend to purchase an iphone 4s black 16gb from apple. I have used a few time lapse apps, but the one ive used has exported the video straight away with stupid settings and text in the middle, i cant re-render the video as the option is not available.

Does any one know of an app where i can add pictures from my camera roll and export a time lapse/stop motion movie

My iphone 4 is not jailbroken

Open Question: Why to buy an ipad 2 ?
What is the use of buying an ipad 2 or any other tablet , if you already have a smartphone , for example, iphone 4 can do everything ipad 2 does , only just bigger .

Open Question: help with iphone and itunes?
I just got the iphone and tried to plug it into my computer to get all my songs from itunes onto it but once i plugged it in it said “IPhone cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.1 or later” so i went to apple.com to download it… but it said I cannot download the lastest version of itunes because it requires a Mac OS X 10.5 and I only have version 10.4… does this mean I won’t be able to put any songs on my new iphone unless I pay a ton of money to update my entire computer? (which i dont want to do, as I will be getting a new one in a few months)
