Open Question: How long should my iPhone 4 battery be lasting?
I bought my iPhone 4 yesterday having heard all the hype about battery life…yet after it’s first charge the battery only lasted 4 1/2 hours of usage (according to the statistics given in settings). I have downloaded a battery measurer app and today battery seems to be draining by 5% for every 20 minutes of use…even with the screen at half brightness. Is this what I should be getting, or have I managed to buy a dud?
Open Question: Will syncing my iPhone delete the applications?
I hate syncing, I never sync. But unfortunately my old computer died and I’m now having to use iTunes on the laptop. I have authorised iTunes to use this phone with this computer, now all I have to do is click the “manually handle music” button. When I do that though it tells me that “erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library”. I don’t have my applications on this library, I downloaded them all straight from my phone. WILL my applications be deleted if I sync my phone to this iTunes?
IF it will delete my applications, will I be able to redownload them to my phone free of charge? I only paid for one application, and the rest of the paid applications I got for free during promotional periods. Will I be able to get THOSE free again or would I have to pay this time?
Joshua, tell your bestie to right click on the device icon and “transfer purchases” before syncing applcations. Any applications purchased on the device will transfer to the computer and apparently stops if from deleting them. I finally found a helpful website, lol
Haven’t used OmniFocus in a couple months, as the iPhone app is slow and heavy, but I will admit to being tempted by the iPad version.
