Open Question: Can the iPhone 3GS be Unblocked ?
Hi
Yesterday i found an iPhone 3GS on the bus, i was going to call a number onthe phone like ‘home’ or something liek that but the phone had already been blocked. I cant get into anything to give the person the phone back. So i have basically decided to keep it for myself 
what i want to know is can the iPhone 3GS be ‘unblocked’ so i can use it ? i have heard that you can unblock them but they can then only be used like the iPod touch and not as an actual phone? is there no way of getting it unbloked so that i can use it? please dont comment if your going to say ‘take it to the police’ or something like that. I would not have kept the phone but i cant get it back to the owner so its now mine any guidance would be appreciated
Open Question: Jailbroken iPhone 4 – Icons appearing?
Right, I have a jail broken iPhone 4 running firmware 4.0.1 which was jail broken using the untethered jailbreak me.com method from comex.
I’ve noticed that every now and then on my next available home screen I get about 6 or 7 random icons popping up. They disappear when I reboot the phone. These icons show as just a plain white icon with a title underneath. They Nike+ iPod icon also shows up then disappears along with e winter board and SBsettings icon.
These seem to be hidden system icons as they are called things like ‘trust me’ but like I said they disappear when revolted. Anyone any idea what these are or why they appear?
Open Question: I use an ‘unjailbroken’ iPhone 3GS. Can I install Cydia & will that affect future iOS updates via iTunes?
I use a legally purchased iPhone 3GS, which runs on the latest 4.0.2 (8A400) iOS 4 software. I want to install Cydia but I’m unclear on the impact that would create. If I do manage to install Cydia, would that mean I have a jailbroken iPhone? Would that also mean that I wouldn’t be able to get official updates via iTunes?
